The clouds chased each other letting the sun and blue sky peek through and light danced on the drops of water on green pine needles.
The silent mirth is deafening.
The silent joy speaks loudly to the listener. The watcher gives life room to speak to the heart.
The silent mind gives room for the spirit to feed the soul.
Soul food
Nourishment for the spirit.
I greet the sun in the morning: Light
I embrace the evening rest: Dark
I bless the transition.
What would we see without shadow in the light?
What would we see without light in the dark?
What would we think in a mind without thought?

A story never told
Shame is a troll that lives under the bridge from truth to speech in the human heart.
Shame terrorizes the human heart. The bridge shakes so truth is fearful and does not want to cross.
Shame is mean and treacherous.
Shame fears it will be exposed to the light of day.
Shame tells the human heart it will die if shame dies.

Men and women are dieing today because great leaders are ruled by the troll under the bridge named shame.
Where is your troll? Is it well?

Trees are growing in the cities. Quietly they stand amid the houses, hotels, businesses and long streets paved in prehistoric tar and gravel.
Trees the sentinels. Trees not wishing for anyone or anything. Trees growing, growing stronger everyday. And in their own way they give comfort to the weary, the little creatures and even to those that harm them, they give shade and fresh air to breathe.
How would it be if we were like the tree? How would it be if we were as quiet and comforting as a tree? What would it feel like to live without fear or anger like a tree?
If we see our spirit as a tree, would that feel good or bad?

Sitting in the Sun light with shadow on an unused water spigot a spider had spun it's web.
Then came a yellow jacket. It hovered for a second and then began flying at the center of the web and bouncing it's head on the center repeatedly.
Each time the spider tensed and released. After several seconds the spider rushed to the center of the web to get it's expected meal.
In a split second the yellow jacket killed the spider.
The moment the yellow jacket was about to fly off with it's prize a large baldfaced hornet came down and bit the head off the yellow jacket and flew away with both spider and yellow jacket.
Was this a lesson? Do we see this in our neighbors or politicians and corporate leaders?

I woke to the soft feathered comforter of clouds. Jays were busy intruding on sguirrels. There was cawing and scolding bantered back and forth. It was about food.
Food gives energy and strength.
Food insures an easy end and a strong beginning.

The cold time is coming. With it our world changes. We change and yet there are those of us who fear this change.
Fearing change. What makes us fear change?
What is it that makes us feel joy with change?
One must ask these questions and in doing so, formulate the answer.
