Good news is bad for a media.
Good news is you reading this and you are alive. Good news is Fall with all it's colors and it is getting cooler (at least it is in the Northern Hemisphere).
Good News gas prices are down (for a while).
Good News are some crooks in government are being caught (Alaska recently).
Good News meat prices are higher and folks are eating more veges and improving their health.
Good News more people are talking to their families and friends.
Good News is what we see when we are looking for Good News.
Good News are people have stop believing "TV News" (Florida Court in landmark decision in case against Fox news declared '..Television News.. is entertainment.. and DOES NOT have to be truthful or accurate...) as if we didn't already know that.
Good News is when a friend drops by just to say hello.

When I read in a book that the chances the Queen of England being a "shape shifting reptilian feeding" on humans... would not be out of the realm of possibility, I felt compelled to search the Internet for "shape shifting reptilians". Yahoo seemed the search engine of choice since Google is touted as being leveraged by Chinese and US Govt. You Tube was the logical choice for the broad range of bizarre.

This exercise was far more entertaining than anything I have seen on television (not that TV has anything wildly dramatic except commercials about drugs that you should take even though they will make you go blind, vomit, or kill you; TV = drugs and booze and stuff we can't afford or will make you fat and sick ( in either order)

From this lark of a search I found a rampant conspiracy of Lizard aliens disguised as politicians, (not much of a stretch there!) Underground laboratories creating hybrids. (not the kind we should be driving). And a master plan to enslave the world (I had a vision of suburbia as a cattle stockyard) and evil super strong lizard men who have two hearts (both evil!) and they also feed on the some sort of excretion (yuk!) from human fear. (I guess they are fairly bloated from the last few weeks)

I have enough problems with keeping my truck from overheating, looking for chicken under a dollar a pound and finding an orange for less than a buck.
I watch any hope of retirement fade away while I wait in line for another credit card transaction that takes four times as long as using cash.

If there should be any reptilian shape shifters I would like them to eat those creeps that are causing all the chaos. I suggest they are more tasty than a senior citizen worrying about how to live on Social Security.

When I heard banks such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America were forced to accept Govt "loans" I realized we as a people are in for trouble.
Government in business is called Nationalism. The Government is responsible for allowing this "crisis" to happen.
I talked to some Banking friends and they were appalled at the dictatorial behavior of Poulsen. He apparently forced Banks that were doing well to accepts "loans" at an inflated interest rate even though those high end banks don't need the money.
If you or I were threatened by someone to accept a very high interest loan we didn't need, it would be classified as a crime like Racketeering, Loan Shark, extortion or some similar felony.
I wish this was just a bad movie, but it is not.
Sorry for the rant. Pray for the good, Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

The protection racket of organized crime has nothing on the White House/Paulson/Wall Street gambit.
The drop in the market today was inevitable and would not have cost us a trillion dollars.
Some of the best minds in finance are in Washington and the notion they did not see this coming is ridiculous. They knew when it was coming, what they would do and what the consequences would be.
Nothing in Washington is "spur of the moment".
If there is any doubt after this mornings stock market activity it would be in dream land.
Once again the burden is on you and me.
We fight their Wars, we pay for their mistakes and reckless behavior, and the world suffers with us.
Beyond that I am speechless and can only reaffirm my faith in,a higher power, my neighbors, family, and you.
