Seems like we can't wait to get old enough to do the things we want to do and when we are old enough to do them we forget what they were.
What was it that you really wanted when you a little kid? What place did you what to go to before you reached 10 years old? What food did you always want to eat but your parents never had it or never let you try it? What was it that you wanted to do when you were 7 or 8 years old? There is inside of us those unrealized dreams. Like an itch you try to ignore. Address the itch and as long as it doesn't cause you grief or someone else grief; scratch it! After all, the clock is ticking!

Driving, 30 years ago, down 395 in Nevada. The road reduced from a ribbon to a line ending in pinpoint. Distance and horizon balanced on a dot never reached, always approached.
Looking out at 12 o'clock. The dot of what may come. Looking in the rear view mirror at 6 o'clock and seeing the dot on the horizon where we had been. Looking back for an instant we stopped looking ahead or where we are. We were looking at what was past. In our 6 o'clock the Devil, taunting us, and if we look back to long, what then? Eyes, again forward, heart strong, enjoying the talk, the silence, the hum of the wheels on the road, the aroma of the desert, air leaks in the doors and windows hissing, Being then, was being in the now. Now, in remembering, I feel the Devil in my 6 o'clock.
Break Right!

Falling As a child in martial arts, the first we learn is how to fall. What? When first learning to ride a bike, it was important to learn to dismount; to get off the bike. Learning to fall is learning to take charge of something that occurs occasionally in life. We fall regardless; however with training fear disappears. When being trained, as a child or an adult, in falling something changes in us. As we fall we know what to do, and within the moment of falling our body and mind follow our training, and in an exquisite moment we see. We are unencumbered from fear and it's disorienting qualities. Without fear our vision becomes clear and we see. We see where we are going what is around us and we can be conscious of our thoughts. All this in the timeless expanse of a millisecond long fall. A fall becomes like a high speed camera and in it is the slow motion of the meditation. Like falling, other events both mundane and extraordinary in life can be experienced, can be a meditation, can be so much more if we train ourselves to be prepared for them. High speed meditation in a freeze frame world.

In the legend of King Aurthur the Island of Avalon was both origin and destination. As the round table is a circle so life is much the same. The beginning becomes the end. In completion there is timelessness. Life becomes a memory subject to no laws. Like stars in the heavens, moments in our existence sparkle, sometimes brightly, along the circle of life. Each of us have a chance to return to Avalon. The Avalon of childhood when in a timeless instant we were transported. We were lifted out and away from the ordinary, the routine. Avalon is where we may return, if we chose. Avalon where threats are but the echo of a distant storm. Avalon is acceptance, serenity, wonder, clear pools of water, sparkling creeks, fragrant flowers, warm days and cool evenings. Avalon is where evil and wickedness fear to tread if they could see it. Avalon is the sacred place in the heart where the angels rest. Avalon is waiting for us.

Truth. In western culture a trend has developed in regards to telling The truth. Media encourages us to be content with not knowing truth. We are becoming accustom to being lied to because rulers say "people can't handle the truth". Knowledge is power and when someone withholds information or knowledge from another it is to exert power over them. Fear drives the need to lie. Freedom drives the need to be truthful. Truth between friends. Lies between enemies. Truth is what we experience and how we experience. Truth is not telling another what they experience or how they experience. Telling the truth we are honest to ourselves and others. First and foremost one finds great freedom and serenity in being honest to themselves and from that strength will come honesty and truth to others. May we, someday, share truth
