Amtrak announced it would be randomly checking luggage as a stepped up security measure. They are looking for nail clippers, excessive shampoo, cigarette lighters or any that could be used to hijack a train. (sarcasm, deadpan mode)

Security is big business. Politicans beat their chests like adolescent monkeys garnering attention from "the unseen threat"

What is dreadful is the waste of our tax dollars to employ poorly trained displaced construction workers, people who want to be police but failed the psych exam, to be given jobs molesting grandmothers, children or a cute teenage girl and sometimes the rest of us.

If police pull us over in our car, they must have "probable cause".
There is no "probable Cause" to go through luggage.
It is the criminalization of people who us public transportation.

Police receive extensive training and psych exams to weed out "potential problems".
This is not so with Transportation Security.

If you have never been in a police state or been in a county ruled by fear, dictatorship and threat, then it is beyond your recognition to know it here. If it is called "Security" instead of "oppression" then you will not recognize it. When it is too late, you will recognize threats, name calling, random searching of women and children for what it is.

We must follow and enforce the Constitution and the Bill of Rights or we are not a Free Society. There is no argument, no half measure, no renaming, no exceptions..That is why the founders conceived the Document.
If we stray as a people, it is because we have strayed from our core, or humanity. If it is not "We the People" then it is a dictatorship with a "Decider" making the decisions and not a representational government.

Vote this election, keep in contact with your State and Local representative, Congress person, know what they are doing and contact them by phone, snail mail, Email as a single person or as a group. Your hard earned money is supporting their jets and limos. Make them earn their keep, do their job.
It only takes less time then watching a TV program.
