Mostly asleep and hardly awake ..
Back to Full Blog

Walking into the room, the electric dream machine was on. Actors posing as journalists were babbling about other actors.
Silent blank faces staring at the electronic dream. Empty faces bathed in the dancing electronic light of hypnotic induction.
Inducted and drafted into the make-believe.
As Pharaoh said, "As it is written so shall it be"
Our masters say "As it is televised, so shall you think"

A dream that echoes in our minds. Half asleep we move together.
At the coffee shop people are talking about the actors talking about actors. We are learning as a culture to redefine evil to make it acceptable. Torture is torture, killing is killing, and calling crimes against life something else does not diminish the depth of its depravity. It does not alter the evil and mortal shame of those who do it in our name.
Those architects are condemned as are those who follow them willingly with arms up raised in salute.
Meanwhile what goes on?
Walking with echoes of actors quoting other actors. Half truths and lies stacked pancake style dripping with the syrup of more actors confirming the half truths and lies of others actors. Arguing, name calling, spreading dissent.

Waking up, clearing the mind, looking past the actors portraying journalists.
Where do you go for truth?
Where do you go for information?
Where do we meet?

I know of a lot of places to go for information, but I still haven't found the place to go for truth. If you find it, please let me know.

"Electric dream machine" - I like that.

A good post, my friend.

Capananda,

I found the quote I was thinking about:

As You Like It

"All the world 's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts" - (Act II, Scene VII).

Hello, Thank you for your blog, my humble advice to everybody is in a Quote "Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change" Politics during this past decade have not changed things for the good of Humans or Animals and the environment, due to the fact that people have been looking at them in the short term, not in the long term, and their effect, not only in their own countries, but the effect of these views worldwide. I Sincerely hope that the voters of America will take take this into consideration when they vote now and in November. We need to make changes now, not in the next decade. Sincerely Mike

Capananda - as I was reading your post I was reminded of the analogy I read this past week about the 'God is dead' theory and its effect on our present culture. There is chaos and despair all around as we have adopted the theory that God is dead - our Cretor is no longer in existence.
Consequently we have a society of death - looking to find meaning and happiness and it is not to be found. And it in we have come to abuse humnaity in all kinds of ways and killing in all forms seems to be acceptable as life really has no value without God - whether it is one's own or another's.
So we look to society, whether tv, actors or romanitc love of fairytale life to give us fulfillment and happiness - it all comes up empty but we try and try again. Would be that we wold have such diligence in our persisitent trying with God - then maybe we would have some real solutions in the and to the chaos around us.

Good thought provoking post as always - June

And it shall be said, "go forth to illumination guy's blog" there you will find the answers to the questions that are important, not necessarily to the questions one wants." The great MLK- it's the urgency of now!

May God give you...
For every storm, a rainbow,
For every tear, a smile,
For every care, a promise,
And a blessing in each trial.
For every problem life sends,
A faithful friend to share,
For every sigh, a sweet song,
And an answer for each prayer

CP..I wish you and yours all the very best...hope life is treating you kind..
