Summer Sun heated the door handles of car. In the store, produce that was too expensive, and left untouched too long, was being discarded. The checkers looked bored and tried to seem busy. No problem finding parking. In the cool quiet of the store I saw the yams. Yams. I had been thinking all day of yams boiled till soft, garnished lightly, and drizzled with real butter. To go with those yams a salad. A nice Romain salad with green onions, and cucumber. Tomatoes seemed to follow the increase in Gold futures, so it is an unnecessary luxury item I left with the rest of the overpriced produce. The checker was delighted to have company. With my yams I headed home. As the yams played about in the boiling water, I made the salad. Some left over egg noodles mixed in with the greens seemed a good idea. I sat out side next to a scrub oak. The colors on the plate were astonishing. The sun was setting as I ate dinner. Yams, what a treat. Yams melting in my mouth and warming me much as the setting Sun's light warms the sky. One bite left and, as if part of the Sunset departing, I ate the amazing bit of yam...

I could see you sitting under the scrub oak enjoying inter play of oral pleasure and visual pleasure -
yes, the high price of food..... almost enough to take away a person's appetite these days.
