When I check out a new blogger posting, it seems the right thing to do is welcome them if they are a first timer on Blogstream or simply make a supportive comment. As happens there are some weird folks that refuse to allow comment. The question that comes to mind is "What possible reason for a balanced mind to refuse comment?" (come on, the blog is a community that promotes and nurtures exchange of experiences, ideas, observations, feelings, thoughts and so on.0 It is what humans do in a culture, in a group, in social occasions..kinda of like the very old days of going to the Grange hall for pot lucks, catching up local news, renewing and maintaining friendships. Exchange of information, it is human, it is balanced and it generally yields what we put into it. So when someone refuses comment, I am suspect of their motives as being from being unbalanced, distorted, fearful, narrow minded and in some sort of emotional pain. Just the time when what that person needs is to reach out,,and what better place to start than the blogstream. My policy is simply not read the posting of one who rejects their own humanity. Why waste time on a talker that does not listen when there are so many great folks on the blogstream full of life, opinions, and so on that enriches our lives and our experience. Happy Sunday Blogging!

but you make a good point. I myself love comments.
Yes, I find it very disappointing to read a blog and then, when I try to add a comment, I discover that the author is not accepting comments. I will not bookmark that site.
But I do agree with you on return visits - I never go back (at least not on purpose)
Hope you are have a sublime Monday
